Im tired and I have so much reading to do. That's what the weekend is for right? Just a couple of more days and I'm done! Im excited but nervous for the exams :/
Today we, my friends and I, played some ping pong and it was ok. I mean it was fun and we laughed a lot but towards the end I guess we were just tired and we weren't as active as before. I love playing it but when I lose games by a great difference is because I know im tired. Afterwards we went to get some frozen yogurt, but just the fact that we had to walk to get there was horrible. My feet were already hurting :/
I finally got to the bus stop after all the goodbyes and what not then just got home a little while ago. Im looking forward to sleep tonight because Im so tired. Other than that today was pretty normal I guess. I met a lesbian lol. She's pretty chill. This week I had an exam and I thought I did well so I can't wait to see my grade.
Tomorrow I want to get a haircut cause I have super long hair and I can't even style it anymore :/ I also want to wash my car! It's so dirty :( So I have share of things to do tomorrow. Oh and I also want to see Fast Five. I love cars so that movie is a must see.
I dont know what else to talk about :/
I'll post next week after my two exams :(
This is a blog about my experience from day to day. I may or may not post every day because I am a college student and sometimes it is impossible to find time. I will keep it coming as regular as I can though. Thanks.

The end is near
I think I forgot to write the weekly post last week and I'm sorry. Well let's see this past week I had semi free week and what I mean by that was that I had no tests. This week I have one test and Im already studying for it. I also have an essay due and I don't feel like writing so much, but I have to do it.
The end of the semester is close for me. I am done with the semester on May 17th. That is soo near and I'm scared but for the next couple of weeks I will have no life and it's going to be all about the books.
Other than school I've just playing ping pong with my friends and I guess you can say that I get better? The only thing that irritates me is that when my friend starts to lose she gets mad and hits the ping pong balls hard and if you hit them hard enough you can break them. Buying extra balls is something you want to stay away from because you have to spend money on that and it wouldn't be something we have to do if it weren't for her hitting the balls so hard. We should set a rule where if you break it you buy it, just like at the stores. We each have our own paddles so if we break those we have to buy another one and so far everyone takes care of them.
Love life? Nothing to exciting. Im just talking to this one boy is really amazing and sweet and well everything someone could ever want. Been talking to him for 3 straight months everyday and that is something I've never done with anyone before. We don't get bored of each other and that says a lot. There's just one problem, he's far away from me, but in the states nonetheless which is good. We love each other, but we both told each other that you could date other people, but there's this problem and it's that we'll both get jealous of the other person. We are not boyfriends or anything just because of the distance but we do love each other. Does that make sense. I feel like it doesn't to you guys reading this. We don't want to limit each other to who we see, but if we do find someone that even though we will be with someone in the end we matter to each other. Did that confuse you? I sure hope not. Right now I don't see myself with anyone because I love him so much. If I do get with someone it will just end in a disaster because he (with who I love right now) will be on my mind constantly. I told him that and he said it was fine, but I don't think it is. I can wait for him, I've done it before I got my first boyfriend but I don't know if he can. I don't to have the feeling as if I'm controlling him because I'm not and I don't want that for him.
Enough of that. Anyways, I can't wait to be finished with this semester and go back home with my family and friends. I haven't seen them in forever and I really miss them. I feel alone over here and even though I have friends it doesn't fill that gap you get from your family and your first friends. *sigh* just a couple of more weeks.
I didnt know what to write so I just wrote what was at the top of my head. It was just talk and nothing like what I have done in the past week(s). It's just school that I do everyday. I'm a slave to it right now :/
Well thanks for reading this post,
John

Been a while
So its been a while since I last posted, actually it's been a long time. Time isn't really on my side. Sunday I did an all nighter and managed 3 hours of sleep in the morning making me skip my first class. I had an exam later that day at 6 pm. I feel like I did great just waiting on the grades. Other than that I've been having headaches back and forth. Ugh I hate them and its because I haven't slept enough. I've been trying to catch up on my sleep, but it is hard with hw about every night.
I do fall asleep in some of the lectures and only because the class or I should say the lectures are in big auditoriums so I can dose off for a little bit. Also, the great thing about owning a macbook pro is that it has recording capabilities with Microsoft Word so I record the lectures. It's also a great way to study.
Outside of school I've been playing ping pong with my friends so its a good way to release some of the stress accumulated every week. I also play Black Ops on the weekends only because during the week I dont have the time also another way to let some of the stress off.
I don't know what else to say. There a lot of cute boys over her and I like looking I dont stop them because I usually see them while walking to a class :/ Oh and they're not the same boys all the time. There's so many people that I never see the same cute boy more than 3 times. oh well.
Little update for my readers out there if I still have some. Probably won't post anything until someone comments on this. Just so I don't waste my time writing to no one.
Well adios (goodbye)!!

Translator
So I got the translator module option. Its on top of my counter for all of you who read my blog outside of the US. I know I have a couple of people out there so I made it easier for you guys. I played around with it and I'm fluent in Spanish and some things aren't translated correctly, but they are written correct in English. Just try to read along. Thanks.
<--- Translator should be about there (Im guessing)
Anything else that I should add? I'm still new to all of this so suggestion and instructions will help.

Not the best entrance title for my long absence...
It feels and it has been forever since I was last on here. I thought being busy was behind me, but I was wrong. I've never been so caught up with so much homework. I live and breathe school 6 times a week now. The only time I find some time is on the weekend, but even then I have to clean my room and wash my clothes. I also have to go grocery shopping and explore the new city Im living in.
I'm not sure if I have missed out on something here, but I know that Gay Andy's blog doesnt exist anymore. Does anyone know what happened to his blog?
Short summary of my days being a student are well the campus is huge and it has a nice warm feeling to it, although these past few weeks it's been cold. Now it's warming up and starting to get humid :( I have meetings for organizations 3-4 times a week. Almost all the time at 5-6 or 6-7. If they're not organization meetings they're class reviews or study reviews. Im in two LGBTQ organizations which are ok, but I thought it was going to be better. In one where we plan things out and then play a sport afterwards for fun has some cute boys. It also has a lot of feminine guys which Im not interested in, but they seem really nice. Well aren't we all nice? lol. The other organization is for students in the medical field. I am pre-med so I have this organization to fill me in on news and give me oppurtunities to accumulate volunteer service hours. Other than that I spend most of my life at school. Depressing huh?
It's been quite slow with boy searching, but I think it's because Im new to the whole thing in this city and Im still trying to adjust. My main priority is school right now then comes boys :) whom I like to look at while Im walking to class or to a building. If only I knew if they were gay/bi... damn!
Im not sure if I said I had apartment with two rooms and I live in one and the other is vacant. I was supposed to get a roommate to move in on Tuesday, but he never moved in. I left for home on Friday and I thought he was going to move in on the weekend, but he didn't because I came home to an empty apartment. Its nice living by yourself you get more freedom and privacy.
I dont know what else to write so I'll just end it here. Oh by the way, it might be late now, but Happy Valentines Day to you!

COLD!
A short post for now...
SO BUSY its ridonculous! No not ridiculous, redonculous!!
Today its freezing cold! It went from yesterday being 76 F to 30 F today!! What the hell!? And yet I've seen one guy wearing shorts and a polo. Is that guy like superman or subzero? He is really crazy.
I'm inside a building and even then it' cold because of everyone opening and entering through the doors. Only when there are no people coming in will it be warm, but that won't happen anytime soon. I have class in a big auditorium right now so hopefully I'll get warm in a bit.
I know back home it started to snow and I wish it snowed over here, but I doubt that will happen. It was said it was going to snow tomorrow, but let's see if that will be true.
Well yeah just wanted to let you guys know I'm ok and alive lol. I will try to write a nice post sometime this week. A lot has happened in the past few weeks and some are very exciting and promising, others not so much.
Well got to go to class later,
John

Sleep is good
This is going to be a short post.... I hope :D
Friday, I went out with some of my new friends. We all transferred from the same university back home but not all at the same time. Two of us transferred this semester and the other two transferred last semester. We are 3 guys and 1 girl, not to bad, its all good. We all speak Spanish so we get along much better considering there are not many Spanish speaking students at my new university.
We played Ping Pong and watched a movie. Everything is within walking distance so that was good, but later that night my feet were hurting. A good night though. And no none of the new friends are cute boys lol, but soon I will have some! :)
Other than that I've been waking up late and Im surprised at what times I wake up. It feels good though, but I know that during the week I can't do that because I have school and have to wake up at a certain hour. Oh well.
I added another class to my schedule so now Im taking 15 hours. Its good especially since I have more time on my hands. Well I don't think I have anything else to say.
Oh yeah, yesterday and today I was surprised to find that my blog has been viewed 149 times in one day. That's an accomplishment for me. Thank you guys! Also, I have more followers, more than I ever thought to have. Make your presence known and leave a comment. The people that I can really call true followers are Micky and Lunario who are always commenting on my posts. Thanks guys! :D
Well...umm...laters!

First day of classes
Today was the first day of classes at my new school...
Compared to my past public university back at home this public university has way more people than I have ever seen before. Just the amount of students is awesome and trust me all of these people are smart. It is hard to get into this university and I like that because you arent stuck with the people that dont care about their education, rather you're around people that want to succeed and become better people to benefit this world. I feel smart already lol jk. Maybe knowledge is rubbing off of me as I walk through buildings and hallways...yeah right.
Anyways, today I had to wake up really early just to get the idea of how the shuttle buses took their routes. At first I thought there was a stop further down the road, but then I spotted a bus and it was turning going the opposite direction I was headed. So I followed its path and guess what I found? I found a stop right across from my apartment. Literally, you walk out the door of my apartment then just walk straight and there it is. I was quite amazed. I sat down and waited, but before it even showed up I had forgotten my schedule. I can not go to school without a schedule because I had no clue as to where my classes were.
I ran back to my room, luckily its on the first floor so Im thankful for that then retrieved it and walked fast to the stop. Not a minute passed when the bus pulled up. I got in and there were people already on it, it was quite full. On we went and I didnt know what stop it was going to stop at I just ended leaving at where the route ended. It wasnt bad considering almost all the shuttles stopped there. The walk was long but enjoyable.
That was class at 8 at it ended at 930. I took a shuttle back home because I had class at 330 to 5. As I wait for that class I am writing this. Ill be packing up in 2 minutes to be there early. Being early to a class is important never forget that.
Ill leave it here. Just by seeing how tough my Genetics will turn out I will rarely be posting just because Im going to start studying right from the beginning. I will try to post on the weekends.
Well Ill see you guys later,
John

Moved in!
Today, I moved in. I thought it was going to be easy as pie and have no problems, but that wasnt the case with me.
I had a big problem with my apartment. My preferences that I had listed on the questionaire for the picking of the roommates goes as: No smoking, no excessive alcohol, and no pets.
So I walk in to my new apartment and because I had picked a 2 bedroom with 2 bathroom one for each bedroom it meant that I was going to have a roommate. No biggie right? Each pays their own room so no one is responsible for the other persons room except your own. Good deal right?
OK so I walked in and it smelled of alchohol and a big amount. A quick glimpse to the sink and it was full of beer cans, cups, a flask, and right next to it a bottle of rum. Wow he didnt even have the decency of cleaning up. My bedroom is locked and I had the keys because again every person is responsible for their own room. The room looked clean. "John!" my dad yelled so I ran to where he was, the kitchen. I asked what was wrong and he pointed at the bag of dog food. Then we saw the leash on the counter, then the K-9 pills, biscuits, and the bed. I was like what the fuck! I got my keys and drove off to the main office.
I told the same girl who had given me the keys to my first apartment what I had found and what was the situation. She looked up the contract and said that the other person in room A did not have a pet registered in his contract. All she said was "He will be recieving a violation". I was like damn that sucks for you dude, but you should have obeyed your contract and the rules.
When I got back to apartment with the new keys for the other apartment because I took another apartment that they had available. My dad had found out that the guy living there owed the city money, was wanted by the other apartments because he owed them money, was taken off his car insurance and owed money to gas services. Wow he's in a financial mess.
We moved everything from one apartment to the other. Me and my dad made 4 trips back and forth switching things. This new apartment was really and the smell was pleasant. A better welcome than the previous apartment. Im not staying there for the night so Im back at my dads apartment. My roommate never came in to move in. I left at around 4:30 and the office closed at 5 so he could get his keys. My dad says that the chances of me getting a roommate are slim now. Who knows really. I could or could not get one. Im happy with one or without. I dont mind.
Other than that, I looked as if I had showered outside because it was constantly raining all of today. Even as I type this it is still raining outside. I love the rain so Im going to love this weather. I already bought an umbrella so Im good there.
Oh one thing I thought was funny was that my dad had put some hot pockets in the freezer in my first apartment and left them there because he forgot to get them out. After I returned the first set of keys and finished moving into the second apartment my dad had remembered about the hot pockets he left in the freezer. I said it was ok. At least the other guy saved 10 bucks on hot pockets lol. We went to buy some afterwards so it was no big deal.
*sigh* Im tired so Ill be heading out to bed. A good post and update for my audience out there.
Well see ya guys later,
John

New Place
So sorry I havent written in a while and let me tell you things came up.
I had previously said I was accepted to the University of Texas at Austin and this whole weekend we have been finding an apartment which I already signed the leasing contract and been driving to San Antonio. I packed whatever I had wanted to bring but now I miss home. Sure you can say Im excited to live independently and whatnot, but Im scared, nervous and anxious.
I had a going away party with my closest friends and that was the best. I teared up with some of my closest friends and they did the same. It was hard for me leaving and I still think of them.
Yesterday I had orientation at the university and it went ok and the campus is HUGE compared to the university back at home. I actually got lost and the worst part was that it was cold outside and I was freezing. Anyways, today I went back to school and fixed some things up.
Today, my mom left back to my hometown.... I cried before she got on the plane. We both cried. I have always been close to my family. That is one reason as to why I didnt take off after high school. I am attached to my family. Before she go on the plane and I hugged her one last time I just broke out. She told me she loved me and I was going to respong but I couldnt speak out the words while crying. I did tell her, but second time didnt come out. She wiped away my tears as she looked at me and then we said our goodbyes. Im going to miss her so much already. Now Im with my dad and he cheered me up after we dropped her off.
I knew this was going to happen and Im happy it did. I dont feel ashamed of crying and saying I love my parents. I am not embarassed to be around them in public like some teenagers are. I dont know how they can do that to their parents.
*sigh* well I start school the 18th and I move in the 15th which my dad will help me with. Im just nervous about meeting my roommate. I hope hes a cool guy rather than a jerk. Most of all I hope hes gay friendly.
Well just a heads up of what I have been up to,
Lates,
John

Longest post I have ever written
The post that everyone has been waiting for is finally written.
So to start off I hope everyone had a good new years and it started well. Now onto this post of mine and the stories and adventures Ive had since my last post. They will of course be summarized and some days will be cut out, but the way this will be written is that I will talk about the previous leading up to today.
Now onto my first topic:
What is a Posada?
I found someone who summarized it completely because knowing I could just expand it and it would take me a long time to write exactly what we do. Here it is: "A posada is a celebration in Mexico. It's done every Christmas. Starting on the 16th to the 24th, they celebrate the nativity. Which is the birth of Jesus. these posadas are enactment of looking up to Joseph and Virgin Mary. Which in spanish we call them ''Los Pelegrinos San Jose y La Virgen Maria.'' The head of the posada will carry a candle inside a paper lamp shade that looks like an accordian but open at the top. This is called a ''Farolito'' or a little lantern. The head of the posada will take the crowd to three different houses singing, but out of the three houses only one house will let them in. they will mostly eat ''panes y bunuelos'', which means breads and sweet candy. at the end of the gattering all the kids will gather and break a pinata. This is what the posada is all about." Now, there are a couple of things that we dont do, like above it says that the crowd goes to 3 different houses, but we go to 3 different doors around the house. There are also a group of people singing outside and inside reenacting how Mary and Joseph asked to be let in. Also, someone within the outside crowd carries the Peregrinos
<-- that would be something similar to what the person would carry. Oh and we dont break a PiƱata either, instead we all gather around and pray the rosary then eat. Thats basically how we do it and its a lot of fun!
What I got for Christmas and how it went
So this year I wasnt expecting to get something usually because our parents ask me and my brother what we want but this time they didnt and its not because they dont like us or anything, but because we were just busy.
We went to church then came back home and played with the Kinect. Man it gets you worked up and sweaty lol. Its really fun. Then went to my aunts house and took pictures with Santa. Yeah, there was a Santa Claus there and he looked legit. It was to change things up a bit and also because my cousins kids are young and I guess they thought it would be a good idea. It turned out to be good. We got to take an all cousins picture there are a couple of more but not so many. The one I always picture is when I was 7 or so. That was a long time ago. Then we did our secret santa gift exchange and I got a $25 Best Buy gift card and I still havent spent that one yet lol. After that we just spent the day with the family and watched tv and talked about things.
Paintball on the 29th
That morning man I was running late right from the moment I woke. I got lazy and played some Black Ops and then before I knew it I was supposed to be meeting up at my friends house. We quickly showered, loaded up and took off. We stopped to buy waters and gatorade. Then off to my friends house. I brought them some camo clothes and they quickly dressed and we took off. From my friends house it was pretty far so we did about 20 minutes in driving.
We got there and there was a mess with paying and stuff. That got sorted and we started getting ready. I had loads of fun especially with my friends and I gave myself a memorable bruise and memory. I had to clean the barrel of my gun because I got a bad ball and I popped some in there so I unscrewed and cleaned it then screwed it back on. My friend bumped into me and I accidently pressed the trigger and I shot my chin. My gun was no less than a foot away. My gun is very advanced and up there with those fast and expensive ones so I have a very senesitive trigger. Oh and all of this happened during a game lol. Guess what I did that night? If you guessed it good but if you didnt its ok, but I cleaned my equipment and the stuff my friends used. Yeah I own a lot of equipment. I shared guns, masks, pods, harnesses, and gloves with 4 different people so yeah I own alot.
How New Years went

What I got for Christmas and how it went

When we came home from my grandma's house on Christmas Eve well it was already Christmas day when we came home there wasnt anything under the tree when we came home. I was kind of sad, but just thought well we'll see what happens in the morning. I was awoken by my younger brother instead of me waking him up because thats how it was when we were younger. I would wake him up but now he wakes me up. Because from upstairs you can see our tree and the living room I saw we had presents, of course they werent wrapped, but there they were. We almost ran downstairs, but tried not to make any noise as we went down.
I was surprised at what I saw. We had recieved another Xbox 360, but this one was the Kinect version. It was the whole bundle the one that includes the xbox, controller, a game and the Kinect sensor. We already have two Xbox 360's but theyre the first gen's, but still it was shocking. We also got pajama pants like those that are soft and you can sleep with. I hope you know which ones Im talking about. I also got $200 cash and my brother got the same. I was shocked at the amount and I couldnt believe it. I still havent spent any of it because I dont know what to buy. I got $40 from my grandparents and that went towards getting my mom something for Christmas because she didnt get anything. Me and my brother pitched in to get her something.
How New Years went
The day of New Years Eve was memorable. I woke up played some Black Ops and started watching the Sun Bowl game. Just knowing that I live 15 minutes away was exciting, but not having ticket because it was sold out wasnt bad. I got to see it on tv which was good because I was warm and comfortable. It was really cold that day. Then around 2 pm we all started to get ready and around 3:30 left to Juarez, Mexico. We were the first to arrive and we helped around as much as we could. By around 9 pm everyone was there and the cousins were talking and watching tv. There are so many cousins that the 5 oldest of which me and my brother are part of just talked amongst ourselves. The other 13 cousins just played amongst themselves.
Occasionally some would come and talk to us because they are somewhat old like from 8-12 years old. Then we went to play ping pong within the same house and before I knew it we were counting down to the new year. We then made some speeches not long ones of course wishing for the best in the coming year and this year most of us got to say something. Mainly because most of the cousins are shy, including myself, but this year we just did it. Some of the younger cousins cried while speaking. You could tell it came from the heart and it did. We, as in the whole family, have gone through some tough obstacles in 2010 that came out in the speeches. Then after we just messed around played a couple of family games. Of course because we are so many there was one table with adults playing cards and another table with kids and adults playing Mexican Train Dominoes. Then went for some ping pong again. I ended up going to bed at around 5:30 am. I woke up at around 9:30 and ate some breakfast and took off with my uncle at 11:30 am. I came home and fell asleep and just lazed around the whole day.
Ok, so I covered 4 out of the 6 topics and posted 2 of 3 pics. I think its good enough especially how Im tired of writing. I will post the remaining stuff in another post. I think this is enough on your guys' eyes it is rather long if you ask me. I wouldnt be surprised if you guys took a break then returned to finish reading the post, lol, its all good.
Anyways, lates,
John.

Happy New Years!
It came and went, but it showed us our weaknesses and our strengths. It made us realize our mistakes and we learned from them. Now we can forget 2010 and move on with 2011.

Im eager, ready and prepared to embrace this coming year.
I wish you health, knowledge and adventures in the coming year. I hope you counted down 'till the new year and spent the day with your respective families.
I will be publishing that long post tomorrow so get ready to read a lot! :)
Lates,
John
